Heartmoves Training
The Heart Foundation provides training programs for exercise and fitness professionals. The initial leader training course is a compulsory component to be accredited to deliver Heartmoves classes. Upon completion of the Heartmoves leader training course, accreditation is given for a two-year period. Every two years, a Heartmoves leader must complete a re-accreditation course in order to continue delivering Heartmoves classes.

1.0 Heartmoves Leader Training Course
Overview:
This core course will provide the skills, resources and knowledge you need to become an accredited Heartmoves Leader, essential for delivering a licensed Heartmoves program.
Heartmoves is a low to moderate intensity exercise program specifically designed to cater for people with lifestyle risk factors or with stable, long term health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes and bone or joint problems.
It is an essential prerequisite for completing any other Heartmoves training courses. More....
2.1 Heartmoves for Multiple Sclerosis - Re-accreditation Course

2.2 Heartmoves Practical Workshop - Re-accreditation Course
Overview:
This course involves in depth practical and small group integration work. This re-accreditation module provides existing Heartmoves accredited leaders with many practical experiences and learning options for fitness and exercise professionals. More....
2.3 Heartmoves for Stroke - Re-accreditation Course
Overview:
There is strong research evidence that physical activity has a protective effect on stroke.
The National Stroke Foundation in partnership with the Heart Foundation wish to increase stroke survivor access to the Heartmoves program and ensure that the Heartmoves program leaders are able to skilfully address the needs of stroke survivors. More....
2.4 DVD Re-accreditation
Overview:
Heart Foundation is excited to announce that existing Heartmoves leaders can now gain re-accreditation as a leader with us by submitting a DVD.
This makes the re-accreditation easier for those leaders who may live in more remote areas, or who have time constraints that prevent them attending a face to face workshop.
We want to see you deliver a “live Heartmoves class“ and you will be assessed on your competencies. More....
