Multiple Sclerosis - Re-accreditation Course
Overview:
"Heart Foundation and MS Australia are excited to announce the development of a Training Module for our existing Heartmoves leaders" says Tony Thirlwell, Heart Foundation CEO - NSW. This one day course is designed to provide our Heartmoves leaders with skills and the knowledge to safely and effectively deliver and adapt existing Heartmoves programs for people with MS. This course includes
- Expert presenters from the Heart Foundation and MS Australia, including a guided tour of the gym and equipment used at centre.
- Safety guidelines for delivering Heartmoves exercise programs for people with MS
- Theory, practical units, case studies and small group work
- Practical demonstration with real MS clients and opportunity to meet and network with staff and clients of the centre
- Strategies for marketing and launching your Heartmoves for MS programs and linking to MS Connect and MS health professionals
- How to become involved in the MS Wellness Days.

Fitness Australia - 6 CECs
Australian Physiotherapy Association - 16 CPDs
Exercise & Sports Science Australia - 6 CEPs
Physical Activity Australia (previously KinectAustralia) - 2 PDPs
Eligibility:
Successful completion of 1.0 Heartmoves Leader Training course
